Rotation

Sup all,

I'm aware that opinions vary alot on the maps but I was wondering if
a brand new map (preferably one that OMH has reviewed) could
be slotted in place of one of the older maps
(I'm thinking instead of ressurection..)

I know that Geoff was checking out new maps but I haven't seen him
on the forums for months..

Plz air some thoughts on this admins and regs, cheers wtg

In my opinion Ressurection is one of the best map here.

It would be good if we could get a new map, but for it is good right now. Don't care about map, just have fun!

Ok Caroline that's cool - but I do think rotation needs some spicing up to keep up interest.

Players like me need some new turf and challenges wtg

Well, before my BBA days I would visit a couple of those sniper only servers but didn't like it very much. The people that knew the maps would hole up in places that no one else could see and have a party. Not sure if it would work here with the current maps and not sure it is worth dedicating a server for just sniper maps. JMO

Panzer wars + low gravity = light hearted and gratuitous fun w00t

As a side note, i always figured Base Race map to be sure thing for BBA,but im not sure since there are like 4-6 versions of the map. duh

Base Race is a good map for large groups. NFL is another quirky map that might work.
Resurrection and et_beach are classics that should always be on!

Just an FYI the base race maps have been tried before on our servers and have serious lag issues. So I don't think you will will seeing those maps on these servers.

The group I am with used to run goldendunk from time to time. Over 20 people it isn't really playable. Even if you script in no artillery or airstrikes.

Let me jump in on this quick as we seem to be having a growing number of these posts.

First, we played Golden Dunk on the one smaller server many many years ago, fun for the first couple minutes of the first time played, then just annoying afterwards.

Baserace has always had a max entitys issue which causes it to lock up and crash on large servers. Not sure if anyone has ever remade it to fix this but not to my knowledge.

I dont normally read through all the posts like these because I just dont have the time to sort out everyones opinions and thoughts, thus the simple system we have in place for getting rid of maps you dont like and getting ones people do onboard.

First, nominate the map you dislike for whichever server under that servers forums and the thread, "I Hate This Map" make sure to follow the guidelines for doing so.

Then simply make your suggestion for a new map using this guidelines:
http://www.buffalobadass.com/ftopict-31.html with all info, screen shots and links available for it and as much info you can. Posts with maps simply saying "this map looks cool" really wont be considered, take the time to research it fully and then you have a chance.
